Abrar Qureshi
has spent more than two decades driving technology innovation across the commercial and
public sectors. He served as a Presidential Innovation Fellow at the U.S. General
Services Administration, and has held senior technology roles at Freddie Mac, Capital
One, and KeyBank, as well as at startups including HelloWallet and GPARENCY. His domain
experience spans commercial real estate, consumer banking, fintech, mortgage-backed
securities, and telecom.
His technical foundation is large-scale distributed systems and leading high-performing
engineering teams. That foundation now powers Menteq's current chapter: he designed,
built, and operates Gudsy end-to-end — a production platform spanning server-rendered
web applications, serverless backends, semantic search, and payments — through a working
practice that pairs deep engineering experience with AI-assisted development. His guiding
principle for GenAI is disarmingly simple — illuminate the dark corners of my
awareness, so I can make better decisions — a principle he is developing into a
broader position on organizational awareness,
published in Perspectives.
That practice is also what Menteq's advisory
services draw on: the judgment of an operator who ships and runs what he recommends.
